How to sow coleus

What could be more fun than planting seeds and wait to see what comes up?

Coleus seeds are perfect for sowing in a regular pot or a small greenhouse. Regular potting soil works just fine, and there's no need for special seedling soil.

Start by watering the soil; it should be moist but not too wet.

Place the small seeds on top of the soil, about 2-4 cm apart. It's a good idea to spray the seeds with water. It's crucial that they remain moist and do not dry out. Cover the pot with plastic wrap or keep the lid on the mini greenhouse to retain moisture.

The seeds need light to germinate, so place them in a bright spot or under a grow light during the darker months (September-April).

Now, just wait and see what sprouts! So exciting!

When the seedlings are a few centimeters tall with two to four pairs of leaves, it's time to transplant them into their own small pots or a beautiful mixed planting.
