Collection: Palette leaf seeds

Transform your home and garden into a burst of color with our exclusive coleus seeds! It's truly exciting to plant seeds and eagerly wait to see what will come up! Here you will find a wide range of coleus seeds, from both indoor and outdoor plants.

Non-True Seeds Please note that the seeds are not true to type, which means the plants grown from these seeds will not look exactly like the coleus shown in the picture. They are likely to look like the mother plant, but sometimes they can turn out to be something completely new, which we find exciting! This is because most coleus are hybrids that have resulted from several generations of crossbreeding. So, ten seeds from the same mother plant can produce ten coleus plants that look entirely different.

True Seeds There are also true coleus seeds, which are developed in laboratories by pollinating the coleus with the same variety over many generations, effectively eliminating almost all variation. This process takes several years.

Seedlings, Seed Sown, NN (No Name) Seedlings are referred to as seed sown, seedis, or NN (No Name) and they are never called the same as their mother plant. No matter how similar they may be, their genetic makeup is different. You can label them as, for example, Flora gen 2, gen 3, gen 4, indicating that the seedling is a second, third, or fourth generation from the named coleus.

Open Pollinated Seeds Open pollinated seeds, often abbreviated as O.P., come from coleus plants that have been pollinated by insects like bumblebees and bees outdoors during the summer. The variation is even greater here as the coleus crossbreed with each other.
